PTA PAGE
Our school Parent Teacher Association has a long history of committed support for the school. Without the help of our parents, the children would not enjoy the resources or learning experiences they do. Because of the way schools are funded, Stranmillis Primary is the lowest funded school per head in the Belfast area.
In order for the staff to provide the exceptional standard of learning that they do - and that the children, quite rightly, deserve - the school continuously needs extra funding. Our parent body long ago made the decision that it would do its best to be a source of that funding.
However, Stranmillis PTA has been that and so much more. The events it organises also provide opportunities for parents and friends to socialise. Although we've raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years, we also hold events where the emphasis is on school community rather than raising money.
This year we have a lot of new members on the Committee who are enthusiastically organising events for parents and children alike, led by Chairperson Jayne Simms and assisted by Vice-Chair Keelin White.
The table below shows some of the items that the PTA contributed to the school last year, and some areas where the school will require support in the near future. Please note that without the PTA's support, these resources would not be in school. The budget would simply not support them.

We have already had 2 very successful events last term, namely the Hallowe'en parties in Cooke and the Christmas Fair in Stranmillis College.
We also launched the Stranmillis Christmas Wine Case (thanks Richard) supplied by Nick's Warehouse
