After School Clubs

Art Club P1 – P3: Tuesday 2.00-3.00pm

The aim of the club is to have lots of fun while they enthusiastically create a wide variety of art and craft work. Everyone takes home an orginal piece having added their own personal touch.

 

Multi-Sports P4-P7: Friday 3.00-4.00pm

We introduce a wide variety of sports to this club including Badminton, dodge ball, Basket ball, Rounder’s, Netball and Uni hockey. We have  some budding athletes here in Stranmillis Primary!

 

Swimming Club Nursery to P7: Friday 4.00 – 5.30pm

All children from Nursery to P7 are welcome to come along and enjoy the swimming club. The coaches are there to teach the children to learn and gain confidence  when learning to swim; all members of the club work towards doing their swimming badges in the summer.

 

Belfast Voice and Drama Show Choir P4-P7: Wednesday 3.00-4.00pm

This is an exciting opportunity for our pupils to be involved in the 2014 National Show Choir of Ireland.

 

Belfast Voice and Drama Musical Theatre P1-P3: Wednesday 2.00-3.00pm

The children will work towards an end of term musical performance.

 

Stranmillis Short Tennis P5-P7: Monday 3.00-3.30pm / P2-P4 3.30-4.00pm

The classes are taken by Mr Ben, Academy Director, Belfast Boat Club, level 3 coach. The children will engage in a range of activities aimed at improving co-ordination, learning basic tennis techniques and developing their ability to work more tactically and technically.

 

GolfTastic

A course lead by Mr Chris Bell aimed at encouraging children to develop an interest in and competence in the game of golf. Classes are held in the YMCA playing fields. Children are collected from the school and brought back to the school at the end of the session.

 

Cycling Proficiency

This will start for P7 in the Summer Term

 

In addition to the above, children have opportunities to join the Football Team, Cross Country Team, Hockey Teams, Netball Team and Rugby Team learning the basic skills of each sport, developing increasing competence and expertise, and competing in a range of inter-school competitions.
