Who We Are
Stranmillis PS PTA is made up of parents and teaching staff who volunteer their time to make a real difference to our school.
What We Do
The primary goals of the PTA are to generate funds to purchase learning resources for our children as well as helping to build and sustain the unique community atmosphere enjoyed at our school. Over the years, PTA fundraising has helped the school to purchase resources such as:
- Playground equipment
- Classroom furniture
- Interactive Panels
The funds the PTA raise come primarily from the events we organise throughout the year – these include the Halloween Disco, Christmas Tree Sale, Christmas Fair, Quiz Nights, Culture Day, Pre loved Uniform Sale and an annual formal/informal evening.
How You Can Get Involved
With so many events to organize we always need more parents to get involved. Getting involved requires much less time commitment than you may think and some of the ways that you can help the PTA support the school are by:
- helping at any of our events – set up or working at a stall
- being involved on an event subcommittee
- supporting our events and encouraging others to attend - the better attended our events the more money we raise
- putting forward some fundraising ideas – we’re always open to new suggestions
- donating raffle prizes
Our monthly meetings are open to everyone and we welcome fresh ideas!
